Key Considerations
When undertaking custom projects, several key factors require careful attention:
- Aesthetics: Brand color alignment, Natural landscape incorporation, Visual impact minimization
- Technical: Device configuration circuit requirements, Wire access entry points, Conduit raceway sizing
- Space Planning: Physical space constraints, Special structure mounting, Accessibility Needs
Sample Customizations
Whether you’re modifying an existing Pedoc power pedestal or designing a completely custom solution, we’re here to help. Just send us your project requirements, and we’ll work with you to find the right fit.
Note: Many of our customizations can be built to meet cULus listing standards. However, some designs may fall outside the scope of cULus Standard 1773. Please let us know if UL listing is required for your project.
Extendable Offset Direct Bury Power Pedestal
This extendable offset configuration allows the pedestal to sit slightly back from its base—ideal for protecting sub-grade components such as tree roots, irrigation systems, and pipes.
- Durable, Corrosion-Resistant Construction - All components are made stainless steel, providing superior resistance to corrosion, weathering, and vandalism compared to plastic or aluminum enclosures.
- Enhanced Wire Management & Protection - Top and bottom wire opening covers shield internal cabling while maintaining accessibility.
- Welded wire opening slots provide secure entry points for wiring, minimizing exposure to the elements and reducing strain on connections.
- Aesthetic Integration - May be placed flush to hardscape edges, walls and other structures while keeping power access discreet.
- Versatility in Application - Can be configured with a variety of accessory openings (receptacles, switches, data ports) to support multiple electrical layouts.
Personalize with a Custom Finish
Whether you're aiming to match your brand colors, coordinate with surrounding fixtures, or simply achieve a specific aesthetic, Pedoc offers custom powder coating to bring your vision to life. Our finishing capabilities allow us to apply a wide range of custom colors—whether it's a subtle earth tone to blend seamlessly into a natural landscape or a bold finish to make a statement.
Custom color matching ensures that your power pedestal complements your overall design, enhances visual cohesion, and supports your project’s unique identity. Let us know what you're envisioning, and we’ll help make it a reality.
Featured Design: U.S. Supreme Court Courtyard
Pedoc was commissioned to design a custom power pedestal for the courtyard of the Supreme Court Building, requiring a discreet, space-efficient solution that seamlessly integrates with its historic surroundings.
Design Outcome: Modified the base, body, and wire entry to fit the courtyard’s spatial limitations.
